While there are many good ways to fit a Nighthawk, I can't bring myself to buy one when the Drake will do everything it can (save for maybe shooting at small targets) at a fraction of the price.įirst page | Previous page | Next page | Last pageĬopyright © 2006-2022, Chribba - OMG Labs. One thing I was wondering about though was whether some sort of sniper setup could reduce the need for tanking/avoid a lot of the ECM or whether the Sanshas will start on top of you with you webbed/scammed or have crazy stupid speed for dictating range. that is if you can keep their ships alive The most likely race that would come on top for Incursion is Minmatar, plenty of advantages there. So, it's definitely not Caldari (except when it comes to EW. Best ships used depends on fleet makeup, but it will typically be armor heavy (because shield RR just kills CPU and there are no easy ways around that as opposed to PG). These Incursion sites will be logistic centric - either RR, dedicated logistics or both. If you mean passive local tank as in CDFP and its derivatives, then not likely. It's almost like they want Caldari to be the one true PvE race. It seems that a passive shield tank might be the way to go since it combines a bigger buffer with lack of need for capacitor. I guess at this point in time, it's safe to say that if you're running an incursion site in a T3/HAC in a combat capacity, it's prudent to have a BS size buffer to help survive the alphas. If these initial tests carry over to the final iterations, then we'll be looking at a lot of tear posts in GD by those folks that got alpha-ed. The harder (Stronghold? or more) sites will alpha cruiser hulls and below. A big buffer/passive fit seems like it would work better for incursions tanking.įeedback posts on incursion sites makes one interesting point. Well, except for the vulnerability to NOS/neuts. Tengu seems like much more logical solution. Personally, I wouldn't use passive NH for that, probably would think about active but not sure if I would use NH in the first place. Now, Incursions and omni damage are a totally different thing. For those things you don't need Shield Power Relays because they will only slow you down. This fit is for 0.0 ratting, anomalies, complexes and mission running. Well, it have 422 against Guristas which is more than enough for Sanctums, Havens and 6/10 Guristas complexes (and enough for 8/10 if you know what you are doing).

How much does your fit tank, measured in damage per second?Įdit: And that's omnitank DPS I'm asking about, because as far as I'm informed, it's not possible to fit damage-specific hardeners agaist incursions. You DO NOT need shield power relay on a Nighthawk. Now imagine that without the 3% bonus and mindlink.Įdited by: Antihrist Pripravnik on 07:40:28 As an example, the claymore (witch was my preferred CS) with CS skill 4 and a mindlink I could get my friend's warp scrams to a whooping 28km (32 on a tier 1 ceptor). I have been flying command ships in pvp a long time and I can tell you without those bonuses the gang link suck balls, you get like 1% bonus to all shield resists, whoptidoo. It can fit one, it don't have the 3% or 5% bonus to effectiveness. How easy is a Tengu to fit, compared to a Nighthawk? I haven't got any Stratetic Cruiser skillz yet, but it's probably something I'll look into some time next year.

It's got silly gun hardpoints, instead of the missile launcher hardpoints that I know how to utilize. The Nighthawk does have a bonus to gang links. What you want is either a Vulture or a Tengu. But gang links are utter crap when fitted to a ship that don't have the bonus to the bonus.
